N.e.m.e.syS.
born in 2002. “Metabolism” and “Elements”
out respectively in 2003 and in 2005 made their identity. But
they finally stabilized their art with the addition of N°VII
who plays guitars, keyboards, electric drums and vocals since
2005. In the 2006 year, they confirm a new bringing in their music
with the contribution of C.N.X and Xenon: a mix of dark, disco
and metal associated to visual and videos performances. A lot
of various influences cross their minds so far as their art played:
new wave, transe, disco, metal, electro, indus and also gothic
go across their way. Listen to the first track on your dance-floor.
As bewitching as dancing ! Pursue with the second track and feel
the darkness in your foggy evenings: a leap in the dark. Wake
up from your nightmare experiment with a depressive feeling by
listening the third track. Do you feel the N.e.m.e.syS laboratory
experiences ? The fourth track comes with a different mood: sadness
feeling with the use of slow beats. Also samples with hospital
machines sounds intensify the whole. Thus, you’ll never
find joy there ! Now this is the end for your dance-floor because
the last track is a change of mood again: it reminds of punk rock
or industrial metal maybe such as Ministry played sometimes. All
parts manifest darkness and depression. The vocals are pretty
good, especially with the mix of C.N.X. and N°VII. Melodies
on “Nano Pice of space” sounds like those of Theatre
of Tragedy sometimes and the production is quite good enough to
make an opinion. What is more, all parts are played perfectly.
There is nothing to cast there. I end with this information :

Come
from the Parisian scene the psychedelic electro-rock band proposes
to us, a disc containing 6 titles . 6 titles only, to have an
idea of this group formed since 1999 that can appear not enough,
but will be sufficient to convince the adapted public has this
kind of music and to realize that the combo has an originality
and has an indisputable musical talent. Each title dissociates
and has its place in a musical consepte influenced the Eighties
revisited with the modern form. More surprising in this group
will remain the musical quality, orchestrated with wonder by musicians
who bring a shifted atmosphere as on the titles: «my new
skin » & « a big bad joke » (my favorite
title) The vocal ones contribute to the originality of the album
; emotive and expressive they bring to the music more than a simple
lyrics but a theatrical element, which gives all its direction
to the musical unit. Nutcase, is not a simple group but a well
established concept … who presente by an original scenic
service and a very particular look. all that are of good reasons
that Nutcase is a group to be discovered on disc and also on scene.

Here
is an album that makes you perplexed an progressively takes all
its way with the listenings …. Nic U are like those who
think that it’s better to make his own brand of music than
playing what’s already exist. This album’s a strange
mixture of dark ambiant and electro in a not common style. This
opus will not let you indifferent.The french and english lyrics’re
mixed with very sinister and depressing music into an electronic
background.We can also note the presence of saturated guitars
and well distinct bass lines which are homogeneous to the whole
of natural orchestration on the electronic parts . A band to discover
and wich will have a long future…

Promotions : 6 way split tape with Encabulos, Torment, Disgust,
Sudden Death, Gerbe of Life, Insision. (20 tracks)I always enjoy
UG split promotions to discover more brutal metal bands and it
is the case with it. All the bands play brutal death metal or
grind death metal there. They are inegual with the production
: Encabulos, Disgust, Gerbe of Life and Sudden Death recorded
professionnal opus and you listen to it so much. All the tracks
are taken from their cds. Tracks from Insision and Torment are
more raw because it come from ug demonstration material. But they
all know how to play their musik. I disappointed with Torment
vokals because it is too much back from all others instruments.
I hope they will modify it for their next material. All the rest
is ok. But don't hope to find original metal there : this is typical
brutal death or grind death metal. For those who listen to bands
like Napalm Death, Suffocation, Gorefest (first cds) or Crusher
(first cd) for examples.

Nihil
: Destruction des âmes / 4 tracks (Utila / Amon / Gargoth
/ Vicomte Wraght) 2004. Demo tape. Nihil is a musikal projekt
kreated by Utila who chose to add some vokals with his personal
kontakts and so Nihil was born to play an underground black metal
without kompromise. They kall it true black metal. Influenced
by old Darkthrone, you know what you listen to when you got this
stuff. But it's not a plagiarism of this legendary Norwegian band
bekause Nihil added melodik and melancholik lead guitar to kreate
their identity. They kome from France and from Algeria and they
know how it's diffikult to fight against religious problems in
this kountry. I found this stuff very interesting bekause the
sound is quite enough to make an opinion. Just bass, drums, guitars
and black metal vokals and very good played. And what about the
kover. Well, Nihil written on a black background. Simple and effikacious
for this kind of musik. They are working for a new opus now and
it kould be a full lenght opus this time.
